Trapholdt i Kolding.
In June
2013 I saw Nick Cave’s exhibition Soundsuits at Trapholdt in Kolding. An amazing
exhibition, which became the inspiration for my women’s wear collection. Nick Cave
has created a free space for categorization – a space where you loose your identity
and transformed into something else, something magical which goes across
cultures and the color of your skin.
His suits
have a connection to the West African masquerade suits. These home- and
hand-made suits have a significant meaning in rituals and religious acts.
